ABOUT ME
Meet your photographer.
Hello!
My name’s Barry, and I thought you might like to know a little bit more about the man behind the camera.
For starters, I was born in New York, but I’ve also been lucky enough to live in Georgia, Florida, Washington State, and now this awesome state - California!
Here [and through the world of online dating] is where I met my wife. We got married September of 2019, a couple of months before COVID became a thing, which meant our first year of marriage was spending LOTS of time with each other. Since I loved taking quick snapshots of my wife so much from my phone, it was during this time she encouraged me to purchase a camera and take my love for photography to the next level. Fast-forward a year, in February 2021, we welcomed our precious daughter into the world! Now I had not only one, but TWO lovely models to practice with.
With my amazing wife encouraging me the whole way, I spent my “shelter in place” days snapping photos and taking online courses through Photography Masterclasses. Additionally, thanks to the support of my family and friends, I’ve been able to create my initial portfolio and hone in on my skills and style as a photographer/entrepreneur. Outside of personal development, I’ve also become an active member of the Professional Photographers of America Association (PPA) which is an amazing organization and resource as my business continues to grow.
Photography is amazing because there are endless reasons for taking photos. I love that it can be a form of expressing yourself artfully, telling a story, or simply an act of capturing and cementing memories with family and friends to save for years to come.
